Let me introduce myself, my name is Muhamad Fadhil Maulana from mechanical engineering class of 2022. I want to share my CFD result for the assignment.
Using Siemens Star CCM+ i was able to predict the airflow of a simplified model of the 5 floor building for the project.
From the analysis we can conclude that it is not optimal to place the wind turbine on the middle of the rooftop as no air is flowing there. The optimal placement of the wind turbine is on the edge of the roof top where the air is going upwards in relatively high speed. Multiple Vertical wind turbine can be placed for more energy gain.
